Evening run @ Sugarhouse.  I woke up with a bloody nose, about 40 minutes before I was supposed to be at morning practice.  Because of my medical history involving nosebleeds and surgeries, (not the Michael Jackson kind, the kind to help me breath,) I decided the best thing to do would be to wait until later in the day to run.  I even called in sick to make sure I would have time before dark.  I'm not running in to anymore cats!

Nose bleeds can come while running too. It might be from pushing yourself or just the dry air. Try a humidifier or some vaseline to keep things moist. I remember one year a great local runner, Joe Wilson, got one in a marathon and still pushed to victory. He told me he was use to it because it happened to him all the time. Like I've said before get accustom to things in workouts and you will be prepared for them in a race. Some things can be prevented, so listen to your body and see what might cause a certain reaction.
